The Format of BioData should be as simple as possible – it shouldn’t confuse people but help them understand what you can bring to the table.
As a thumb rule; the format of BioData should have these minimal details:
- Name and Communication details (Residence Address, Telephone Number/s, Email address)
- Educational Qualifications
- Work Experience (not applicable if you are a fresher)
- Professional Skills
- Personal Details (Date of Birth, Gender, Marital Status, Hobbies, Strengths)
- References
It’s good if the format of biodata follows the above order; although you can tweak it a bit. It’s also advisable if the document format of biodata is PDF as against the more renowned Word.
Having said all of the above, please ensure that you input all information that you think your prospective employer should know but at the same time keeping it simple.
